Yes. All foreign travellers need a Tibet Travel Permit to enter Tibet. We arrange this for you as part of the package. You'll need to provide a clear copy of your passport and Chinese visa (if applicable). Please note that the permit process requires advance booking, so contact us well in advance.

Yes, you need a valid Chinese visa to enter Tibet. We recommend applying for the visa in your home country before arriving in Nepal. If you're applying in Kathmandu, please note that processing can take 3–5 working days. We can assist with guidance on the visa application process.

The tour is rated Easy to Moderate. The main challenge is altitude – you'll be travelling at high elevations. If you have a basic level of fitness and prepare for altitude, you'll be fine. We recommend consulting your doctor before booking, especially if you have any pre-existing respiratory or heart conditions.

The highest point you'll reach is 4,730 meters (15,518 feet) along the route. The maximum overnight altitude is 4,350 meters at Lhatse on Day 4. Altitude sickness is a possibility, but our itinerary is designed with gradual acclimatization in mind.

• Circumambulate stupas and temples in a clockwise direction

• Remove shoes before entering temple buildings

• Avoid pointing your feet at people or religious objects

• Don't touch religious statues or artifacts unless permitted

• Ask permission before photographing monks or pilgrims

• Dress modestly – shoulders and knees should be covered at religious sites
