The Kanchenjunga Region in far eastern Nepal is home to Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), the world’s third-highest mountain and a sacred peak worshipped by the local Limbu and Rai people. This is one of Nepal’s most remote and least-trekked regions — a true wilderness experience for adventurous trekkers.

The area was a restricted region until 1988 and still requires a special permit, which keeps crowds away and preserves its raw Himalayan beauty. Trails wind through lush subtropical forests, rhododendron groves, traditional villages, and high alpine pastures, offering close views of Kanchenjunga, Yalung Kang, and Jannu (Kumbhakarna).
