Jungle Safari

There are 14 National Parks and wildlife reserves in Nepal and among them Royal Chitwan National Park (932 sq km) is the most popular wild life destination as it is close to Kathmandu (165km) having good highway (4-5hrs drive) as well as air connection to Bharatpur (25minute flight.)

However some adventurers also choose to go down by rafting as well. Besides the Elephant back safari, the endangered one-horned rhino, Royal Bangal Tiger, Gharial crocodile, four-horned antelope, striped hyena and the Gangetic dolphin are the main attractions. Other thrills are canoe rides on the jungle rivers, nature walks, birdwatching excursions and village tours.
